Despite what some people may think, camming is not an easy job. Success is only ensured after many hours spent online, having the right attitude, the right look, a constant presence on social media, and regularly providing new content. In addition to all of this, being a camgirl implies a lot of social interaction. This can obviously get exhausting after a while. A camgirl has to listen to her members, leave her problems outside, constantly entertain and make sure that the mood in her room is pleasant and sexy. It is no wonder then that keeping a healthy mind becomes vital, but also difficult. There are however, several tips that I can provide for all of you.

First of all, as everyone well knows, a healthy mind resides in a healthy body. A camgirl has to, above all else, take care of herself. Getting plenty of rest is important, otherwise, the long hours on camera will most likely become unbearable after a while. Try to get as much sleep as possible and to keep regular hours. Even with night shifts, which are the most tiring, forming a routine is very helpful.

Other than rest, food is also an important factor for being in peak condition. Try to eat as healthy as possible, don’t skip meals, hydrate a lot. If you don’t the tiredness will accumulate, and catch up with you when you least expect it.

Taking care of oneself physically can do wonders for mental health, however, there are some things that need to be done specifically on the mental plan in order to maintain a state of wellness.

What you need to understand, as a camgirl, is that your chatroom is like any other place in the world: full of very diverse people. Among those people, there will be nice, friendly ones, but there will also be trolls, and rude and unpleasant ones. The most important thing here is not to take what they say to heart. I am aware that it is very difficult: someone comes in your room, insults you, or talks in such a way that it hits a nerve, or several. However, try to remember that taking it personally and letting yourself be affected by it will not help you, and will give them what they want. It is good to be close to members, but it is also vital to keep some sort of distance, so that their words don’t negatively affect you. Ultimately, your self esteem and mood shouldn’t depend solely on people online, and, for each hater, you will have at least twice as much fans who adore you.

Another great tip for a healthy mind is having a solid support system. This could be your work colleagues, your friends, your family, your lover, or a combination of the above. Always have someone you can talk to about your job. It is very important to be able to share this part of your life with someone.

While we’re on the topic of support, if you work from a studio, don’t forget that you have people there whose jobs are to help you succeed. Always ask them for advice and do everything you can to keep an open line of communication with them. If there’s anyone who will understand your job-related problems, it’s them.

Professional help is something that you could also consider. If you feel the need, go to a therapist, there is absolutely no shame in that. Sometimes, a neutral, trained person is excellent for putting things into perspective.

These are just a couple of tips for a healthy mind, that I can talk to you about from my own, personal experience. There might be others that you’ll find that suit you better. After all, self-care has to be personalized. Don’t forget: it is good to be hardworking, but there is a fine line between that and running yourself into the ground.
